ORZA Pro 2.0 runs true to street shoe size

ORZA sizing

If you’ve ever ordered ballet shoes online and had no idea what size to get — you’re not alone. Most ballet brands run 2 or more sizes smaller than a street shoe, making sizing confusing and frustrating. At ORZA, we kept it simple: we run true to your US street shoe size. If you wear a size 8 sneaker, you order a size 8 ORZA.

Choose your fit

Not sure how snug you want your shoe? Here’s a simple guide:
Street shoe size — a standard, true-to-size fit. This is where most dancers start.
Half size down — for dancers who prefer an exceptionally snug fit, with the shoe hugging every contour of the foot.
Half size up — a more relaxed, comfortable fit. Great for class, rehearsal, and longer days in the studio.

Width

The ORZA Pro® 2.0 comes in three
widths — narrow, medium, and wide. Width is independent of length size, so choose the
width that best reflects your foot shape.

Between sizes?

Order both — returns and exchanges
are always free. There’s no risk in trying.

Still not sure?

Sarah Orza — former principal
ballerina and co-founder of ORZA — is happy to help you find your perfect fit.

"Your shoes have been a game-changer for me. When I say game-changer, I mean they saved my dance career. So beyond grateful! Seriously, everyone should be wearing these shoes."

Free Returns - Ships in 1-3 Days

You know that feeling at the end of a long class — when your heels are screaming, and your feet just want a break? That’s not a you problem. That’s a shoe problem.

Ballet shoes haven’t changed in over a hundred years. Seth Orza danced through that reality at New York City Ballet — until a foot injury nearly ended his career. He couldn’t find a shoe that helped, so he built one.

The Orza Pro® 2.0 looks exactly like the ballet shoe you’ve always worn. Inside, everything is different.

Popular sizes and colorways sell out fast — if your size is showing, grab it. And if they’re not quite right, returns are free.

Reintroducing the ballet shoe. Finally done right.

Product Details

•      Better stability means cleaner turns.

•      Real cushioning means more explosive jumps.

•      Metatarsal support means you can push through a full day of rehearsal and still have something left.

•      A fit so precise it disappears — leaving nothing but beautiful lines.

Most dancers notice the difference in their first class. After that, there’s no going back.

Worn by principal dancers at New York City Ballet and American Ballet Theatre, students at the School of American Ballet, Canada’s National Ballet School, and English National Ballet School, and teachers, choreographers, and adult dancers who refuse to let their shoes be the thing that holds them back.

    Convert to Orza ballet shoes

I’m old and stuck in my ballet ways. You know the type that was raised on Russian teachers and “you don’t need anything in your pointe shoes”. However, my adult students kept asking me about anything more supportive than a ballet shoe and so I looked up some stuff, ordered the Orza Pro, and experimented on myself. Took a little breaking in and a lot of “this feels weird” because it’s not made like I am going to do class with Louis the 14th, but they are AMAZING and I can not go back. Balance better, jumping less painful, I pulled off a penché demonstration. All my adult students are ordering them because I have become the wacko that can’t stop showing them off.

    Hi Jennifer!

We absolutely love your story about converting to the Pro 2.0s! Your journey from "this feels weird" to "I can not go back" perfectly captures what so many dancers experience when they first try our shoes. It's fantastic that you're feeling the difference in your balance and jumping, and we're thrilled that you pulled off that penché demonstration - we know firsthand how tricky that one is! Thank you for being open to trying something new and for sharing the benefits with your adult students. We're so honored that you've become an Orza convert!

    Happy Dancing! :)

Finally Found the Perfect Ballet Shoe :: ORZA Pro® 2.0

I’m a 14-year-old dancer and the ORZA Pro® 2.0 Pink Canvas ballet shoes are easily the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn. The canvas is soft but still supportive, and they move perfectly with my feet when I point and flex. The split sole helps my lines look cleaner and makes turns feel more controlled. They’re also super lightweight, which makes long classes and rehearsals much easier. Beautiful color, amazing fit, and they feel like a second skin. These are now the only ballet shoes I want to wear. ~ Milanna, 14

Heel bone connected to the thigh bone

I’m a mature dancer who enjoys taking barre a couple times a week. Like many, over the years I’ve been plagued with plantar fasciitis, metatarsal neuropathy, SI issues, etc., I work on/with my body constantly, in my GYROTONIC® practice and with some resistance training. But certain personal movement habits are truly challenging to change in the moment with music.

I was thrilled when I read about the Orza as I had also taking to putting pads of various types in my shoes to alleviate aches and pains. I immediately ordered them. I’ve worn them only a few times so far BUT here’s what I’ve observed: my heel is well supported from all sides and so I feel the energy of my whole leg when standing; I’m not pronating; I can feel more clearly how I want to initiate turnout from my calf instead of my hip on my weaker side; the thickness of the canvas makes me work my intrinsic foot muscles more; the padding in the transverse arch help with my very bony feet (although I could use a larger pad under one foot).

I can’t speak to moving in center with them but it’s been an amazing tool so far! Thank you for creating them.

    Hi Dominika!

What an absolutely incredible review - thank you so much! We're thrilled to hear how the Pro 2.0s are supporting your dance journey and helping with those common challenges that many dancers face. Your detailed observations are so insightful - from feeling the energy of your whole leg with that heel support, to being able to initiate turnout more clearly from your calf, and how the canvas thickness is engaging those intrinsic foot muscles. It's wonderful that you're already noticing such meaningful differences at the barre after just a few wears! Thank you for sharing your experience so thoughtfully - it really helps other dancers understand the benefits of what makes ORZA special, especially for those dealing with similar foot and body challenges.

    Happy Dancing! :)

    Must have!!

I love these shoes! I'm adult dancer with a metatarsal injury and realized I needed a lot more support than a regular ballet shoe provides. I haven't had any pain or issues at all once switching to Orzas. My feet feel more supported and "bouncy" during jumps, and the heel cushioining helps my ankles feel much more stable. I did have some difficulty with the sizing though - I wear a 7-7.5 in street shoes but measured as an 8 length wise on the chart (my second toe is longer). I ended up liking the 7 the best because my feet are super narrow. As you can see in the pictures, there's a difference in the size of the soles between the 7 and 7.5 (7 is on the right).

    Hi Grace!

What an absolutely incredible review - thank you so much! We're thrilled to hear that the ORZA Pro 2.0s have completely eliminated your pain and transformed your dancing experience after your metatarsal injury. It's wonderful that you're feeling that extra support and "bouncy" feeling during jumps, plus the added ankle stability from the heel cushioning - that's exactly what we designed the Pro 2.0 to achieve! We completely understand the sizing challenge, especially with longer second toes and narrow feet, and we're so glad you found your perfect fit with the 7. Thank you for including those helpful photos showing the sole size difference - that will surely help other dancers with similar fit considerations make the best choice for their feet.

    Happy Dancing! :)

No more kee pain in jumps

I really like the shoe. I have the Orza 2.0 Narrow. As I have very narrow feet , I had to size down one whole size from my street size. They felt a little rigid in the beginning, but are molding very well to my feet. I experience much more support than in regular ballet slippers. Overall, LOVE THEM!
